Case Study
Situation: A client interested in launching a drug for an immune indication with many on-market and late pipeline competitors wanted to understand the treatment patterns of patients for optimal marketing strategies.
Approach: A longitudinal data analysis of patient insurance claims was undertaken using STATA. Metrics of treatment adherence and persistence were determined; average number of scripts filled over time was calculated.
Outcome: These data were used to determine the relative value of each individual patient and the market access team was able to use these data to calculate return on investment and breakeven points for marketing strategies.
